Extradition from the Federal Republic of Germany to Israel is possible and may be governed by the European Convention on Extradition of 13 December 1957 (BGBl. 1964 II p. 1369, 1371; 1976 II p. 1778).

In connection with extradition to Israel, however, the reservations and declarations made by Germany regarding the European Convention on Extradition in relation to Israel must be observed.

Extradition of German nationals is not allowed.

Provisional extradition detention can be ordered if Israel requests it, but also on the basis of the search at Interpol initiated by Israel, if an actual extradition to Israel does not appear unlikely from the outset.
